Sam values understanding holistic health factors that contribute to musculoskeletal presentations. This is to ensure implementation of effective interventions as well as referral to relevant health clinicians where appropriate. Sams’ goal is to empower individuals with clear clinical insights to enhance their health literacy and promote self management strategies.

Sam has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy. He has worked closely with Olympic and National level track athletes, notably in the lead up to the Tokyo games. He has also worked in contact sports at the elite level in AFL (GWS), and as assistant NRL and NSW Cup Physiotherapist for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Sam currently works privately with professional athletes in triathlon and surf sport.

Sam has over 10 years of industry experience. He most recently completed his Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy at La Trobe University.

Athlete/return to sport assessment
Use of technologies, such as force plates, to best understand your muscle force output. Provides information regarding peak force, rate of force expression, and plyometric abilities.
Key in assessing readiness for sport for injuries such as ACL, shoulder dislocations and tendon/muscle injuries.
Running Assessment: Gaining insight into your run mechanics and force profile is crucial in understanding and reducing contributors to running related injuries.
Individualised rehab programs
Development of individualised rehab and performance gym programs that consider injury history, force output data and unique sporting demands.
Field sessions: Incorporating run drills and graded speed and change of direction stimulus. This is essential in bridging the gap from clinic to your activity/sporting goals.
